A few years ago, I became overwhelmed by low energy, a persistent low mood, and constant overthinking. Even though I had a great life, I felt like a stranger in my own body.
My days were marked by disconnection, and I yearned for change – a change I knew had to come from within. So I began my journey inward, determined to bridge the gap between my mind and body, and heal the rift that left me distrustful of my own intuition.
Since there was no coaching program to teach me what my symptoms meant, I turned to my Integrative Health Practitioner certification for the educational side of things.
I read peer-reviewed articles, books, and was coached by a mentor who was extremely in tune with her body. I spent countless hours learning so that you don’t have to!
With each step I took, each piece of information I learned, my world began to shift. Instead of viewing my body as broken and needing to be fixed, I started to see it as a trustworthy guide.
I understood that my body's symptoms were messages, each carrying a piece of the puzzle.
I didn’t see myself as a victim of my symptoms anymore; instead, I embraced them as a language I needed to learn.
Bit by bit, I reconnected with myself. I stopped living to please others, learned to rest and reset, and said “no” more. The constant cloud of low mood began to dissipate as I started to align my habits with my newfound understanding.
I realized that my body was my partner in this journey, and its wisdom was unfailing.
My husband and friends noticed the change – in how I walked, talked (to myself and others), and in my constant showing up for myself.
Ultimately, my life underwent a profound shift. I shed the weight of disconnection and embraced my body's wisdom.
What I had lost in terms of energy, mood, and motivation, I gained back tenfold in vitality, valuable education, and a sense of peace.
This is my story- the journey from a woman lost in her thoughts to one who had found herself by learning to listen, interpret, and trust the language of her own body.
It was this journey that led me to create the Nourish to Flourish program!
